Are you ready for one of the dance music parties of the year? Have you bought your swimsuit and underwear to show off for the pool parties? The 2012 Purple Party Weekend is back with the world-class entertainment you love and new dance-worthy venues. Purple Party Weekend is one of the largest non-profit, all volunteer dance fundraisers in the country. This year we are proud to announce proceeds will benefit the AIDS Services of Dallas. People from all over the world will come to enjoy the best DJs dance music has to offer.
Hosting the party again this year is Crowne Plaza Hotel, with their amazing rooftop overlooking beautiful downtown Dallas. The indoor/outdoor area has been expanded from last year and they’ve improved the admissions and ticketing process. Hotel guests will have in-and-out privileges all weekend. Be sure to book your room today as they are going fast. Purple Party Weekend Passes are still available as well.
Kicking things off is the Ignite Opening Event. DJ/Producer Joe Gauthreaux is headlining this event at Station 4 multi-level dance club. Joe is one of the best DJs around and has headlined for the Winter Party Festival, The Zoo Party, White Party Week, Halloween in New Orleans, and of course 2010’s Purple Party Weekend. Opening for Joe Gauthreaux is Station 4’s own DJ Paul McElroy.
The Purple Party main event is thrilled to have internationally known DJ/Producer Wayne G from the UK headlining for the first time in Texas! He’s made people dance around the world, headlining for Sydney Harbour Party, Atlantis Cruises, and several other international events. Opening for Wayne G is Dallas local star DJ Brandon Moses. This year’s exciting main event is being held at South Side Music Hall inside Gilley’s Dallas. Expect an amazing high-tech sound and lighting production at this new venue.
Closing out The Purple Party Weekend is an eight hour extravaganza, Glow. Time to go crazy because Michael Tank is playing the first half and DJ Paulo is closing out this non-stop weekend. Nightclub Plush will host all the tea dance and light night music you can handle. Plush’s new rooftop deck has one of the best audio-visual systems around with an LED wall and liquid nitrogen blasters. Michael Tank and DJ Paulo will send you off right.
If this isn’t enough great music and dancing for you, don’t forget the six hour pool party Rise! Headlining is New York City’s DJ/Producer Corey Craig with opener DJ Adam Metts from right here in Dallas. DJ Corey Craig brings it every time and has played events like Sandblast Park and White Party Palm Springs among many others.
No time to sleep this weekend! Head over to the after-hours party, Resurrection, at the brand new underground ballroom located in the host hotel, Crowne Plaza. The Purple Party veteran DJ Alyson Calagna is headlining with local DJ Gabriel Marestein opening. DJ Alyson has headlined great events like Alegria, Winter Party Festival, Gay Village in Rome, Masterbeat Los Angeles, and many more.
