Beyonce confirms Superbowl 2013 Halftime Performance

This year started on a huge music note when Madonna appeared on stage at the Superbowl. It was one of the best performances of all time right up there with Aerosmith and Britney Spears / N’SYNC. Nothing topped Janet’s breast pop-out though that just made my year getting the media all worked up. Beyonce has confirmed on her Tumblr account that she will perform during the half time at the 2013 Superbowl show. All you single ladies get ready for a show! We are glad to see that Madonna started a trend of Divas to rock the testosterone heavy field. Maybe Lady Gaga for 2014? Take a look below at the Superbowl performers since 1991-

New Kids On The Block
Gloria Estefan
Michael Jackson, performing with 3,500 children
Country stars Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, Wynonna and Naomi Judd
Patti Labelle, Miami Sound Machine & Tony Bennett
Diana Ross
ZZ Top, James Brown, the Blues Brothers featuring Dan Aykroyd, John Goodman and James Belushi
Boyz II Men, Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves, the Temptations, Queen Latifah
Stevie Wonder, Gloria Estefan, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Phil Collins, Christina Aguilera, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton
Aerosmith, ‘N Sync, Britney Spears, Nelly, Mary J. Blige
U2
Shania Twain, No Doubt, Sting
Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Nelly, Kid Rock, P. Diddy
Paul McCartney
The Rolling Stones
Prince
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
The Who
Black Eyed Peas
Madonna

It took from 1993 for the King of Pop to perform to 2012 for the Queen to perform. I can predict that 2014 we will see another set of country acts such as Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood if the trend continues the way it did in the past.
