“Get Lucky” Summer Theme Song 2013

Friday, June 14th, 2013

daftgetluckyJust a few weeks ago we partied hardcore on the Beach in Pensacola and during Gay Days Orlando at all the pool parties including the Riptide party at Disney. The songs that were in the running for the theme song of the Summer included Kelly Clarksen’s “People Like Us”, Selena Gomez “Come and Get it”, and those British Babes Icona Pop’s “I Love It” which was really the Spring theme since they performed at White Party. The winner of the summer time theme goes to Daft Punk for “Get Lucky”. Talk about a blast from the EDM past!

Avicii Gone Country at Ultra Music Festival Miami?

Monday, March 25th, 2013

Avicii-ultramusicfestSwedish music producer Avicii had another controversial year at the Ultra Music Festival this year. Last year you may remember he had Madonna on stage promoting her MDNA album asking everyone if they had seen Molly before he played her dance hit “Girl Gone Wild”. The 2013 Ultra Festival had some country added to the mix. Avicii who is known for catchy house music like the hits “Levels” and “Silhouettes” mixed things up a bi8t with some Nashville twang or what do you think? The video is below.

In a preview of his as-yet-untitled debut album, due this summer, Avicii shared the stage with the country and bluegrass artists Mac Davis, Audra Mae and Dan Tyminski, as well as three members of the alternative band Incubus. It was a set unlike any other at Ultra, which spanned two weekends this year for the first time, featuring seven stages and more than 200 DJ’s

American Idol Reject Breaks into UK Top 10 with Bells Ringing

Wednesday, February 27th, 2013

princessx-uk-legsspreadHave you heard the remake of “Ring My Bell” yet? You definitely have to check this song out and the girl behind it who is not only an American Idol reject but has landed on the UK top 10. When Inessa Lee was kicked off American Idol in 2011, she told Ryan Seacrest that she’d be back. A couple of years — and one undead image makeover — later, the now-named Princess X has successfully seized the No. 9 position in the UK’s Commercial Pop Club Chart this week with her debut single, “Gimme All (Ring My Bell)”, and accompanying vampire-themed video which can be seen below. The song has also advanced 19 chart positions in two weeks, to #32 on the US Billboard Dance Chart.

Kerli Hits #1 with “The Lucky Ones”

Tuesday, February 5th, 2013

Congrats go out this week to Kerli who scored a number one on the Billboard dance chart. We were lucky enough to see her perform at the White Party in Palm Springs last year and at Town in D.C. just a few weeks ago looking fabulous. She has the energy that Lady Gaga had a few years ago. Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer KERLI is breaking out with her latest track “The Lucky Ones,” the first single off her upcoming EP for Island Records, UTOPIA, set for release March 19. The song has charted at #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart (marking KERLI’s second #1 dance hit) and its accompanying video has racked up over YouTube 1,000,000 views.

New Ke$ha album coming in December

Thursday, October 18th, 2012

I have been in love with Kesha since Jeffrey Sanker had her at his White Party Palm Springs a few springs ago. It was the year after Lady Gaga performed and we thought who could be as exciting as Lady Gaga or as sexy? Kesha really tore up the crowd and she is one party gal what likes to be wild. We cannot wait for her next album to be released.

Madonna Vs. Lady Gaga Billboard Cover

Tuesday, October 16th, 2012

We are fans of both Lady Gaga and Madonna and do not see why anyone would hate the other… they both make great hits for us gays to enjoy on the dancefloor. This Billboard cover is kind of cool though… we are hoping for no war between the Divas and hope they come together and surprise us with a duet on their next albums. We have a feeling it will happen and this is all sort of a made up fight with them too. They are both on the same record label Interscope and the same promoter Live Nation. We highly doubt this feud is real as the Brazil cover of Billboard magazine claims.

Rihanna is back again but Diamonds are not our best friend

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

We do not have to guess where Rihanna has been all of our lives all we have to do is turn on the radio to hear her. We actually do not even need to buy her albums or pay for her music it is the most over played on the radio besides Adele. Sometimes she comes out with a song that takes us away though. We are not impressed at all with Diamonds from her upcoming Unapologetic album. It just has nothing on new music from Christina Aguilera and Bruno Mars. Nevertheless Rihanna is the “#1 Person On Facebook” with over 61.7 million Likes and has once again ignited record charts around the world with “Diamonds,” the fastest-rising single of her career to date, with first-week postings at #1 iTunes in 27 countries and Top 5 iTunes in 55 countries. This marks her 7th studio album for Island Def Jam in just seven years to be released November 19th. Does she ever rest?
