This concert will sell out fast and be the hottest concert of the year. Her last concert named the Confessions tour was the most amazing experience in person. I saw it twice and wished I would have seen it more live. Watching Madonna on DVD does not do the trick you have to see it live.

Once the tickets go on sale you should check out Ticketmaster.com to see if you can get a decent seat. If not, then goto Stubhub and they will have a seat in your area for a few hundred or a few grand depending on how close you want to be to the Queen of Pop.

I always wanted to sue the clubs that I could not get in at age 18 because of that kind of punishment for being 18 and not being able to get in a club that girls could parade around in.  They get away with it so we just have to deal with it.

But what makes clubs 21 to enter?  Well they have to worry about selling alcohol to minors and that is a big worry since police and the alcoholic beverage commissions are on the lookout constantly.

It takes extra money to hire extra security to look out for underage drinkers.  Undercover security that is that is always on the prowl to bust you drinking underage at the club.   If you are not slick with it you will get busted and kicked out for a long period of time if not until you are 21 which is the norm.

There are many clubs that are 18 and up and we feel that most clubs should be.  We also feel it should be 18 to drink since its 18 to enter the military.  If you can fight for this country you should be damn well able to buy cocktails or beers and hang with the big dogs.

The liquor laws of countries differ and The U.S. expects you to fight in War but not be able to drink.  There is nothing cool about that.  You can drink in France and Mexico just to name a few.  But no drinking in the United States if you are under 21.

April 26th must be one of the biggest club nights of the year or maybe the 4th weekend in April. Every club in the nation was throwing some sort of event this weekend. I even saw a Chris Ryan promotion for the Splash club in NYC that had a Madonna giveaway that was 18 to enter last weekend.

Now that the party in Houston is over I now remember what I wanted to bring with me… a lollipop. It would have been the hard candy that I forgot to bring.

JR’s bar and grill in Dallas plans on doing it’s own “MadonnaRama” this Friday but it should be held at Station 4 not in a tavern.  JR’s is free admission but a bar setting and no dancefloor.  Here are some pics from the Houston Southbeach event:  (more pics can be found over at Seeowl.net)

The Babylon club tour will be strong this year again as well as the True Colors Tour with Cyndi Lauper / B-52’s. Also, do not miss Cher performing in Vegas starting in late May and the Masterbeat world tour. Check your local ticket sources.

Madonna and Mariah Carey recently broke Elvis Presley in the record book this week with their new singles. Mariah’s new song “Touch My Body” made her 18th chart-topper on Billboard. “Touch My Body” is a very hot club hit. A song we have been hearing in clubs like wildfire is Madonna’s new song with Justin Timberlake which also beat out the records of Elvis with a jump of 68 to number three. This would be Madonna’s 37th top 10 with “4 minutes (to save the world).”

Janet Jackson the dancing diva is also getting lots of club play which peaked at number two on the hot dance club play charts. It also peaked at number one on the billboard 200 album chart. Kylie Minogue is also back this month with “X”.

What about the other Divas who frequently support the Gay community such as Deborah Cox and Kristine W? Kristine W. is doing great with “The Boss” where she scored a number one and Deborah Cox recently topped XM Music 2007 BPM annual dance chart with “Everybody Dance”.

You can hear most of this good music on the Beat (ch. 36) on Sirius radio. I have also heard some good beats lately from Chris Cox (Boys Night Out - Thursdays) and DJ Johnny Budz on XM Radio.

Madonna’s new cd “Hard Candy” comes out April 29. If you are a big Madonna fan you will not want to miss the biggest Madonna-Rama of the year with DJ Ed Bailey at Southbeach in Houston April 26th. It is an event that is big in multi-media proportions and the party will probably be the biggest ever. Let’s hope the local radio stations do not hear of this event… I tried to get the Madonna event in Dallas but never heard back from anyone (I suppose they do not want to book it in other cities or just have a contract with Houston?)…

Speaking of Divas we noticed today that Taylor Dayne has topped the Hot Dance Club Play this week on Billboard magazine. You can catch Taylor Dayne who was recently announced as the headliner of One Mighty Party at Disney’s MGM Studios (event is 18+) held on Saturday, June 7, 2008.

Springtime always goes by so fast that we barely have time to get ready for summer. There is just not enough time for all the preparing for the fun events coming our way. One of the hottest events of the Summer include the Beach Ball at Typhoon Lagoon during the Gay Days at DisneyWorld.

Beach Ball is just one of the number of events held during Gay Days…. I learned of the Reunion Pool Party last year and it was just incredible. So incredible I had to book my hotel stay this year at this resort. The One Mighty Weekend group also plans to offer an expo area similar to the Gay Days host hotel. Check out a write up from last year and some pics to follow: Note that the pics below do not do the pool parties any justice but it gives you not even a tenth of what went on during the daytime…

My favorite event of the year was a crazy rain forest of different fun at Typhoon Lagoon. The real Beach Ball. Last year I saw some of the most beautiful bodies on the planet all in one place… and we did this year but it was kind of wet and rainy. The rain kind of made it erotic though because everyone was dripping and no one had to worry about their hair.  It was one big wet no-t-shirt, wet boxer contest.

The wave pool was packed because the water was warm. I do feel bad for the party producers who will deal with the wet lighting and soaked equipment while everyone else is playing in the rain. There must have been thousands and thousands of dollars of lighting outside in the rain — with a dripping wet mirror ball. Yes, a big dripping wet ball above all the dancing boys.

Tropical storm Barry decided to come to Florida and intrude on Gay Days but the sun came out the next day at the pool party. This was my first year of staying at the circuit host hotel (One Mighty Weekend hotel) Buena Vista Palace. I am so impressed by the pool parties here. Johnny Chisholm knows how to do an event and do it right.

We had outside pool concerts with Billie Ray Meyers who sings that song “Kiss the rain” and many others. Even our sister who sings that Cha-Cha heels song (in which I love the Rosabel mix). The pool area is decorated with florescent flowers and fabulous energizing ornaments.  The concerts during the daytime pool parties at Buena Vista were amazing and I hope they have them again in 2008.

Last Year we got to see Deborah Cox but she will be seen in many cities at places such as the House of Blues so stay tuned for that as well.  We know Deborah Cox is hotter and sings better than Beyonce!!

If you have not booked your tickets yet for gay days 2008 you better get on it.  Also, get your hotel at the reunion hotel at buena vista palace because they have the hottest pool parties.  Air fares will be going up thanks to higher gas prices so you better book this trip fast!

Club One is a landmark of all nightlife and a cultural part of the deep ellum arts district in Dallas, TX. DJ Bryan Konrad will be spinning from Austin with a very cheap cover of $8 until 11:30pm. I can assure you there will be a huge line with that low of a cover price. The club is 18 to enter and this will be a K/os party.

If you are coming to Dallas for this party you may want to check out Station 4 on Friday and Sunday night.

It was similar to the gay days pool parties which I think cannot be beat. Typhoon Lagoon’s Beach Ball and the Gay Day Reunion Hotel have the best pool beach parties I have attended. But this one was great because it was right in the middle of South Beach. You could just walk out the gate to see the Atlantic Ocean. Maybe pick up a hot straight boy and bring him back inside for some drinks.

Under the Stars at Karu & Y Club in Downtown Miami was Saturday night. It was a nice venue with an amazing outside. The outside as you can see in the pic to the above left was like a jungle and beautiful. We spent most of the night outside just enjoying how nice it was. DJ Abel and Rosabel were spinning on the inside but the indoors was kind of long and low ceiling. No boxes to dance on.

The outside area had little cabana areas and hut-like bathrooms making it unique. Small man-made river streams and bridges just made this outdoor patio the best I have seen… Karu & Y club is located at 71 NW 14th Street.

Orbit was Sunday night at Cameo (pics below) 1445 Washington Avenue. I have not been there since Crowbar and it looked like they remodeled it some. It was a highly expensive $85 compared to the $45 on Saturday (normally the other way around). Orbit was unbelievably packed and had the greatness of Tony Moran spinning. There were many boxes to dance on, vip areas, lounges, many bars, and lots of bathrooms. I missed it last year and after this years fun I will definately be back again in 2009.
