Rihanna is back again but Diamonds are not our best friend

We do not have to guess where Rihanna has been all of our lives all we have to do is turn on the radio to hear her. We actually do not even need to buy her albums or pay for her music it is the most over played on the radio besides Adele. Sometimes she comes out with a song that takes us away though. We are not impressed at all with Diamonds from her upcoming Unapologetic album. It just has nothing on new music from Christina Aguilera and Bruno Mars. Nevertheless Rihanna is the “#1 Person On Facebook” with over 61.7 million Likes and has once again ignited record charts around the world with “Diamonds,” the fastest-rising single of her career to date, with first-week postings at #1 iTunes in 27 countries and Top 5 iTunes in 55 countries. This marks her 7th studio album for Island Def Jam in just seven years to be released November 19th. Does she ever rest?

Her and Adele need to go on a cruise together and let top 40 breathe a few days. I will not be apologetic in saying that Diamonds are not our best friend… good music is. I am just not that impressed with her getting back with Chris Brown but more power to them but we know where that mess is headed. Maybe they were meant to be together just like an “Umbrella”. To the upper left is the cover art for her new album which pays tributes to fun, being fearless, chalice, and victory. It also speaks of her #navy followers which I have never understood any of these follower groups from glamberts, beliebers, little monsters, and any other silly group. Can we not just listen to our music and not have to belong to some commercial buying cult?

The recipient of six Grammy Awards and seven Billboard Music Awards, Rihanna has sold over 37 million albums and 146 million digital tracks worldwide, and currently holds the record as the top-selling digital artist of all time.
