The Gay Days organization has moved over to the Margaritaville Resort for June 2021. Yes, they moved back to June. You can read more about “Gay Days moving host hotels (and dates)” from the events that transpired in 2019. This will be somewhat closer to the One Magical Weekend events and closer to the Disney properties for the #RedShirtDays but farther from the Parliament House events that normally parallel with this big Orlando weekend. We had all hoped for a better focus and re-invention but maybe that is what we are getting?
Gay Days will be hosting at Margaritaville from June 2nd-8th, 2020. On site there are three pools, two restaurants, a grab and go deli and a full service pool side grill. A short walk is the Island H2O live waterpark. Also within walking distance is Sunset Walk where you will find a wide variety of restaurants and shops. If you are in the mood for a movie the Studio Movie Grill provides in theater dining with an American Grill menu, full bar and luxury recliners.
According to their site it will be “your little piece of Gay Days paradise, your private oasis, where luxury and heart-pounding fun meet — beautifully. You’ll find lush grounds dotted with vacation cottages, a luxury hotel and cozy timeshares, all Margaritaville-inspired to delight at every turn.”
The amenities are equally spectacular — with a lagoon-style pool, soft sand beaches, a waterpark, relaxing spa, fitness center, entertainment, shopping and dining, all within walking distance.

The pool parties that #GayDays is known for will be going on daily and nightly as usual at this new resort:
Red shirt days will be each day starting Thursday at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The huge event seems to have lots of options when it comes to rooms such as cottages, basic rooms, and suites.
