“How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?”

Opening up with a Music makes the people come together introduction of the Queen of Pop she then came on stage promoting her new album and having fun with it at the electronic dance festival. Madonna refereed to ecstasy or club drug MDNA as a reference to her new album named MDNA when she asked “How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?” The crowd roaring back at the nod to rave culture, but also happens to be a thinly veiled wink at her new MDNA album title. “Are you ready to dance? Are you ready to sweat? Are you ready to make some noise, mother—-ers?! This next DJ is amazing! Get ready for Avicii!”

Just in case you thought Molly was a DJ or a person in the crowd or maybe some kind of celebrity spotting it kind of was. She might be one of the more popular celebs at the event. Molly is short for molecule it is a slang term used for Ecstasy in its purest form. There were over 37,000 people watching on Youtube’s streaming of this super-sized Madonna appearance.

Here is more from MTV News on her appearance at the Ultra Music Festival:

With that, the lights came up on Avicii at the decks. Madonna then glided into the DJ booth to rock out with Bergling to her latest single, “Girl Gone Wild.” She stayed for the duration of the song, smiling, singing along and laughing with Avicii.

Of course, Madonna has always been a friend of EDM. After success working with the likes of William Orbit, Paul Oakenfold and Stuart Price (a.k.a. Jacques Lu Cont), she paid homage again to the club culture she loves over the weekend. (She even teamed up again with Orbit on MDNA, due out on Monday.) Two things were crystal at the conclusion of Saturday night’s festivities: EDM fans are ecstatic Madonna has come full circle in her career, and considering the pop queen’s co-sign, Avicii’s star has never been brighter.

Guy Oseary posted the video via twitter but even that got taken down from Youtube. We do have the full video here if you would like to see:

From Miami.com:
She said after 14 years of Ultra she had finally made it to her first Ultra Music Festival, but “I was always here in spirit.” She said she truly believes a DJ saved her life (making reference to the early-80s-era hit song). “In my world, the words music and dance are not seperated,” she told the crowd. “Electronic music has been a part of my life since the beginning of my career.”
