Sydney WorldPride 2023 Guide

Sydney plans to host Worldpride in 2023, one of the most significant global events in Australia since the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Sydney WorldPride will incorporate all the beloved Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras experiences plus a supersized schedule of over 200+ festival events. In 2023, Sydney Mardi Gras and Sydney WorldPride unite to present a truly global LGBTQ pride festival – the very first in the Southern Hemisphere. The theme for the festival, GATHER, DREAM, AMPLIFY and acknowledges the traditional custodians of Australia and represents commitments towards equality and inclusion.

Kylie Minogue has been confirmed as the headliner of Sydney WorldPride

The down-under diva, and globally adored gay icon, will headline the Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert, presented by American Express on 24 February, 2023.

Pop God of Australia Kylie Minogue is set to perform for Sydney World Pride 2023.

Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert – Presented by American Express – 24th February 2023

With stars both overhead and onstage, join us at The Domain for the official Opening Concert of WorldPride 2023 as we welcome the world to Sydney. Hosted by Casey Donovan and Courtney Act, and broadcast live around the nation, the best of Australia’s singers and musicians will get the WorldPride party started 

  • Friday, February 24th February 2023 – This all-ages event is the official opening ceremony concert for Sydney WorldPride 2023, featuring First Nations people through ceremony, ritual, dance and song as Worldpride respects the traditional custodians of the Sydney area. 
  • A line-up of the finest LGBTIQ+ performers and friends will see new music acts alongside icons join together to give audiences an unforgettable evening of party and community.
  •  The event takes place on the lawns of the Domain. Revel under the stars with loved ones, new friends and a global community in this joyous celebration to herald the arrival of Sydney WorldPride 2023.

Mardi Gras Party- 25th February 2023

Domain Dance Party – 26th February 2023

It’s time to dance…with 10,000 of your closest friends. Across 8 hours of party, Domain Dance will be the biggest LGBTQ circuit event Sydney has ever seen

Bondi Beach Party – 4th March 2023

For one day only, the sandy jewel of Sydney will become the city’s hottest club for 12,000 people. Set right on the sands of Bondi Beach, you’ll need a lifesaver to recover from seven hours of fabulous partying with the global queer community 

  • Sunday, March 5th – This is it, Sydney! Dance it out. Release. It’s your time to party on Bondi Beach. World-class music acts will take to the stage alongside the very best DJs, taking you on that magical journey from daylight to moonlight.
