The Palm Springs desert heats up again one weekend after Easter this year with the headlining talent just announced. Jeffrey Sanker’s huge White Party is normally spot on with picking new breakout talent and artists poised for super stardom such as Lady Gaga, Kesha, and J LO. This year’s is special because it is the 25th anniversary celebration happening April 25-28, 2014. It is not just a circuit party but a music festival.
Ariana Grande will perform live at the Saturday night main event at the Palm Springs Convention Center. She was the 2013 American Music Award winner for “Best New Artist”. Ariana Grande gained international notoriety as a pop vocalist when her single, “The Way” from her debut studio album, Yours Truly (2013) became a top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Ariana Grande has a new song premiering on the Disney Radio Awards called “Problem” ft. Iggy Azalea that is supposed to be a huge hit and may actually be performed on the White Party stage first!
Bleona will take the stage at the Friday night “Addicted to White” Underwear Party, sponsored by ES Collection. You may remember her from last year’s acclaimed Pool Party performance where everyone thought Lady Gaga was coming out haha.
G.R.L. will lead the entertainment roster for Sunday’s T-Dance as a rising girl group who has recently burned up the charts with Pitbull’s “Wild Wild Love.” The powerhouse five-member ensemble will perform songs from their upcoming album.
Remembering last year we saw a few cancellations but one of them turned out to be a tragedy with the loss of DJ Peter Rauhaofer. Let’s hope they have a tribute of some kind to do the legendary DJ who was electrified the gay scene for years.
